The Composer
Amin’s compositions are informed by his background in both classical and Persian music, creating a unique sonic blend that bridges cultures and evokes vivid imagery for listeners. His works, such as He woke up in the snake’s dream for the Brabant Koor, and Haft Shahr commissioned by the Gaudeamus music festival, have been praised for their emotional depth and innovative use of quartertones and microtonality. Regardless of his short residence in the Netherlands Amin’s qualities has led to major commissions and projects with ensembles, orchestras, and organizations such as Gaudeamus Muziekweek, November Music, Nederlands Kamerorkest, Cappella Amsterdam, Holland Festival, Philharmonie Zuid Nederlands, Brabant Koor, De Link, etc.
