A truly multidimensional experience

BCO Immersive is a multidisciplinary format that breaks open traditional boundaries and explores new intersections between art forms. It uses the power of multiple disciplines to stimulate the audience’s senses in a holistic way. This approach also helps attract audiences from other artistic backgrounds and introduces them to classical orchestral music in a context that feels familiar. The starting point of each project is content, staging, and storytelling—with everything else built around that core.

Scream With Me is a part of the BCO immersive series

Scream With Me is a groundbreaking, interactive production by the Brabant Chamber Orchestra in collaboration with Warda Oukari and Sebastiaan Schoonen. Under the artistic direction of conductor Amin, the orchestra presents a carefully curated program that fully integrates music and light installation.

The performance opens in complete darkness with the gentle beginning of La Mer, as Debussy’s ocean soundscapes gradually illuminate the space. The audience is taken on a visual journey where the music transforms into light, as if Debussy himself were a light artist from 2025.

The highlight of the evening is the premiere of Scream with Me, a newly composed work by Amin in which the voices of the audience and the orchestra merge in a dynamic, illuminated experience. Audiences witness how their own voices interact with light in real time. After a brief introduction, they learn a simple yet powerful choral melody composed especially for them. As they begin to sing, the orchestra joins in, building the piece to its peak. Their voices literally become light—strengthening their connection to the music and the moment.

Scream with Me is inspired by Warda Oukari’s transformative light installation, originally designed to respond to sound. This collaboration grew out of a shared curiosity about how the installation would react to live music. In this project, BCO explores the dynamic relationship between visual art and sound, where the audience’s vocal expressions—whether a scream or a song—trigger vivid responses from the artwork, turning negative energy into brilliant, beautiful light.

Scream with Me offers a unique, interactive concert experience that bridges music and visual art, while encouraging collective expression and community. Through innovative performances and educational initiatives like this, BCO aims to leave a lasting impact on both audiences and participants.
